hyperpituitarism: Disease of the glandular, anterior portion of the pituitary (pituitary gland, anterior) resulting in hypersecretion of adenohypophyseal hormones such as growth hormone; prolactin; thyrotropin; luteinizing hormone; follicle stimulating hormone ; and adrenocorticotropic hormone.
